Freshly landed from a one week residency in the Midwest, I think I’m ready to tackle new challenges. With two more classes and a practicum away from one Master degree…an end is in sight. Then I will be starting classes for another Master degree, but hopefully sooner if I get off a waitlist!
My first Master program required that I spend two, one-week stints doing 40 hours of negotiation and mediation training. Needless to say, when I got home, I was really excited to do lots of mediation and negotiation…only to find out most places won’t even look my way until I’m a “seasoned attorney.” Welp, there go my dreams.
At least I will have a lot of homework and cleaning to keep me busy in the interim. In other new, my family received a note from the vet we took my dog to, that they made a donation in her name for a homeless and abandoned pet rescue. It was a sweet gesture that brought me to tears. I still wish that she was here to hold and pet, but I guess you just have to roll with the punches.
Can’t believe it’s only Monday…at least I’ve got a vacation lined up for the weekend, albeit only three days.
Until Soon,
